So You Want To Buy A Donkey

First of all we want to thank you for considering our animals. We receive a lot of joy in producing
healthy, loving, well balanced, and just plain great donkey’s. Please give us a call and lets talk about
which donkey or donkey’s you are interested in. We will want to make sure you can provide a good home for any donkey you buy because we love them. First of all we will require that you have some sort of shelter from the wind and rain. It doesn’t need to be a big barn. Just a very small inexpensive shelter will do as long as the donkey can stay dry and have adequate protection from the elements. “A wet cold donkey is an abused donkey”. Then we will require that you have a companion for your donkey. Donkey’s are herd animals and being alone will cause your donkey to become very depressed and lonely. For this reason we want our donkey’s to go to homes with at least one other donkey or a kind horse. Donkeys are happiest with another donkey.

You Have Chosen A Donkey And Now What?

We want you to understand completely what you are getting when you purchase from us. We will decide together what will work for you as far as terms of the sale. We are very easy to work with so it should be a pleasure for you. Usually we take a 25% non refundable down payment on any baby and then the rest paid prior to the baby leaving our farm. Babys can go when they are weaned and eating well. We will have you sign a sales contract with all the terms as far as cost, delivery, payment, etc. Everything thing will be easy to understand so that there are no misunderstandings between the both of us. If you are buying a baby Jack with the understanding that he is to be gelded, the terms of that agreement will be included as well. All of our donkey’s come with a new halter & lead rope, vaccinations and worming, micro chipped, a vet check with a clean bill of health, coggins and health certification if needed for shipping out of state, and most importantly lot’s of love. All our babies are halter broke and leading well when they leave our farm because we work with them from the moment they are born. You will be receiving a baby that has a lot of personal one on one time with us which will make him or her the best donkey possible.

Payment Of Your Donkey

Once you have signed the sales contract we will except your payment in the form of cash, personal check or cashiers check. Any checks we receive will need to clear the bank prior to the donkey leaving our farm. We are now accepting PayPal if you would like to pay by charge card. If you choose PayPal we will email you your payment button after we receive the signed sales contract from you. Once we receive both the signed sales contract and your payment we will send you a copy of the signed sales contract with our signature on it to make the sale complete. This is how we make sure we know our donkey’s are going to good homes. We do not use a Buy It Now button on the sales page.

Can A Contract Be Cancelled?

Yes it can. If you have signed a contract and the donkey you are purchasing becomes sick, severely injured, or if we find out before it leaves our farm that it has a genetic health issue that will affect it’s quality, both you or Kevin and Sheryl Loso reserve the right to cancel the contract and give you the option of either a full refund, applying your money paid toward another donkey, or keeping the donkey at our farm until it is well enough to go home with you. We will never sell a sick animal and are blessed to have never needed to exercise this option. If your circumstances make it so you can’t honor your contract don’t worry. We will apply the money already paid to another donkey when you are ready. We would never expect one of our donkey’s to go to a home that can’t provide for them. These things happen to all of us at some point in our lives. You won’t be expected to finish out the contract.

What About When You Get Home? Can You Contact Us?

Absolutely! We are here to help you in anyway that we can with questions or concerns. We love
to have close relationships with our customers. Many we consider friends. If you need help we will do our best to help you. You may have many questions after your donkey goes home. Don’t be shy, just pick up the phone and give us a call. We love to hear from our customers and know if their
donkey is doing ok after leaving our farm. After all, each donkey we sell is in our heart forever.

You Don’t Know Us. Can You Trust Us?

We certainly hope so. We feel we represent our donkey’s honestly. We will tell you everything we know about them. Nothing will be hidden from you. We tell you about their personalities, medical history, foaling history, their likes and dislikes, etc. We would tell you if there has ever been a health issue or if we think they would not be right for what you want. We try to provide good pictures on the web of our donkey’s while they are relaxing and not posed. We have a testimonial page with remarks from actual customers for you to view. References are available if needed from prior customers. Our main concern is for people to be happy with their donkey and with us. This comes first before ever earning any money from a sale. You just can’t put a price on a good reputation, and a bad one never goes away.

Are We Affiliated With Other Farms?

No we are not. You are dealing only with Kevin and Sheryl Loso of Little Creek Side Farm. At times we send out various Jennet’s for breeding to other farms. Sometimes we may need an attribute from another farms Jack that we feel will be to the benefit of our breeding program. By doing this we are not representing any other farms, we are not in business with them in anyway, or do we presume to know their business practices. This is a business decision only for the betterment of our precious foals. We choose any out side Jack on the his qualities only, and not the name and owner of other farms. Any foals we get as a result of an outside breeding will carry our farm name and be the property of Little Creek Side Farm only. We may at times also breed our Jacks to various other farms Jennets. The same is true for that situation as well. They are not affiliated with us, or we with them. They will be the owner of the foal and it will belong to them only.
